The Moon Shine Babies have musical roots that grow from the North Carolina mountains southward to the Gulf Shores of Alabama. Drawing on their rich experiences as modern day troubadours, their music evokes the intimate spirit of a front porch jam or the communion around a moonlit campfire. The powerful songwriting of Suzanne Schmitt is delicately balanced by the gentle, intricate guitar work of her partner, Jerry Trapp, the understated percussion of Jim Trapp, and the undulating rhythms of Sarah Trapp on bass. At times, the Moon Shine Babies will make you kick up your heels and dance. Then, when the dust settles, their harmonies will lead you to a place where you intently listen to a masterfully spun tale or poignant reflection on the human experience. More than a musical performance, a Moon Shine Babies concert is a ride that warms the heart and soothes the soul.
